 COACHING WORKSHOP

LIAM O’ REILLY B.ED. (Hons) Physical Education & Sports Studies.

LIAM O’ REILLY a native of Bandon will conduct a workshop in Skibbereen on Sat Feb 28^th. Liam is a graduate of UCC and has been involved in coaching and coach education over the past 30yrs  participating in numerious hurling and football County, Munster, and All Ireland finals in his capacity as Conditioning and Sprints Coach. Liam is noted for his research into mechanics and movement along with introducing inovotive practices into coaching philosophy with practical implementation. Liam is a Tutor with Cork GAA and is currently a member of a working group examining and designing a specific injury prevention warm up programme. Liam has coached World class athletes culminating in his selection as Olympic Coach in 2012. This workshop will concentrate on the components of Physcial Fitness for Children, Youth and Adult and the appropiate implementation for each age group. This will be followed by a coach led field session with an emphasis on running technique and Fundamental Movement Skills. It is a thought provoking seminar to challenge practices and inform in an open and fun environment.
