Rosscarbery ladies football intermediate team have qualified for the semi final of the Munster Club Championship this coming Sat 1st October where the opposition will be provided by the well fancied Kerry representatives the Dr Crokes club in Killarney .The game will be played in the CIT football pitch Cork at 1pm.
The Ross girls played the Tipperary Champions recently in the Munster quarter final played in Ballyagar Co Limerick , this was a hard fought victory where the Cork Champions had to turn over nine point deficit before claiming victory. This win came on the back of a great campaign in the Cork Championship which was run on a round robin basis involving 6 teams. The Ross girls won all their games and Played Valley Rovers in the final on Sunday August 29th which they won on a score line of 4.08 to 2.09, indeed it was this display along with consistent good form all season that earned them the honor of being awarded the Buckley Financial West Cork team of the month for the month of August. The girls were recently presented with their award at a function in the Celtic Ross Hotel Rosscarbery who incidentally are the main sponsors of the Rosscarbery Ladies Football Club.
