About Carbery Scór
‘The GAA is a community based volunteer organisation promoting Gaelic games, culture and lifelong participation.’ Scór, as an integral part of the GAA, combines the rivalry of GAA competition with the social and fun element of engaging with Irish culture, music, song, storytelling and dance, whilst supporting the Irish language. Scór in the Carbery division began with a meeting in Ballinascarthy Hall.
Carbery Scór epitomises the community ethos which we all associate with the GAA. Participation is key! Every young child deserves their moment of glory on the local stage. The Carbery Scór committee endeavour to facilitate participation in Scór at all levels:
- Scór na bPáistí for primary school children
- Scór na nÓg for competitors U17 and
- Scór Sinsear.
