Glen Rovers defeated Carbery by 3-20 to 1-8 in the Premier 1 Under 15 Hurling League Phase 2 at Glen Rovers on Friday, 7th August, 2026.The home side were never led and were in complete control throughout the match.

          The Glen pointed from the throw-in and were three points up before Eoin Bourke sent over a point from a free.The home side were driving forward at will and added two more minors before Bourke sent over another free.Then Alan Minehane scored a spectacular goal when he directed an incoming ground ball over his opponent and crashed the sliotar to the net.

          The Glen responded with four unanswered points before two cracking points from Jack Twomey and Aidan Morgan restored the Carbery challenge.Nevertheless, the home side went into overdrive in the run-up to half-time, adding 1-4 to their total, while Carbery’s only response was another pointed free from Eoin Bourke.Our half-time score had the Glen leading by 1-13 to 1-5, unfortunately the referee’s score was 1-14 to 1-3.

          With wind assistance, the home side stormed to the attack on the changeover and in the twinkling of an eye had added 2-2.Carbery continued to defy the odds as Jack Twomey pointed from a free.Their defence was under constant pressure as the Glen went forward in waves.Ben Twohig and Eoin Bourke added points but the Glen finished with a flurry of points.Carbery’s only response was a pointed free by Brehon O’Mahony, to leave the final score, Glen Rovers 3-20 ;  Carbery 1-8.
