CARBERY UNDER 15 HURLERS REBEL ÓG PREMIER LEAGUE 1 v BALLINCOLLIG
Carbery met Ballincollig in Round 2 of the Premier 1 Under 15 Hurling League at Newcestown on Thursday, 30th April, 2026.The Mid-Cork side are probably the best team in this Group, having won the County Under 14 title last year.They started strongly against the breeze and had a couple of points on the scoreboard before Jack Allen opened Carbery’s account with a pointed free.
A goal by Cillian O’Donovan put Ballincollig further ahead but three points by Oisín McCabe brought Carbery back into the match.A second Ballincollig goal left them 2-6 to 0-4 ahead but in the run up to half-time, four pointed frees by Jack Allen and another by McCabe brought Carbery to within 3 points of their opponents.A goal on the stroke of half-time left Ballincollig leading 3-6 to 0-9.
Carbery came into the game big-time in the second-quarter and the standard of hurling was of the highest order.
Ballincollig continued to set the pace and led 4-11 to 0-11 at the three-quarter stage.Two late goals by Jack Allen and substitute Daniel Cronin brought the curtain down on a highly entertaining game, with the final score:
